My Despicable Face

My Despicable Face

By Omi-peah Ryding

This three-act larp is the last part in a trilogy about violence. It is about fear and what happens when we use violence, towards ourselves and others, as an act of self-protection.

Players will play with masks that they have created themselves during the preparatory workshop, and which depicts grotesque versions of their own faces.

The larp starts with a group of soldiers roaming around in a deep forest in Russia, looking for a young girl who lives with her grandmother. As they get lost in the forest, they will be haunted by memories of violence.
When they finally find the hut they were looking for, they enter into a place outside of time. Here they will be guided towards self-acceptance.
In the final part of the game, the no-longer-soldiers will find their way home.
